I would suggest taking it into a luthier and getting an opinion on it. If it is solid wood it has probably stood up to time better than the laminate guitars. When I was browsing a vintage guitar blog site recently, I saw a comment from a retired luthier who had picked up a Kent 12 string acoustic which sounds like it could be from the same manufacturer as yours....
