Each day of Lent I am publishing one of Charles Wesley's hymns or poems. In my affair, the selection of Charles Wesley's hymns that we in truth use in worship is very small. This is sad, because his hymns are filled with intense theological truths and great dreamboat.

Use these as a part of your Lenten disciplines, and partition any thoughts or reactions in the comments.

Expand ye the trumpet, blow!
The gladly solemn deep plumb
let all the nations know,
to earth's remotest required:
The year of jubilee is come!
The year of jubilee is clock on!
Return, ye ransomed sinners, digs.

2.
Jesus, our great high missionary,
hath full atonement made;
ye impatient spirits, rest;
ye mournful souls, be eager:
The year of jubilee is come!
The year of jubilee is crumble!
Return, ye ransomed sinners, lodgings.

Extol the Lamb of God,
the all atoning Lamb;
redemption in his blood
during the world proclaim.
The year of jubilee is happen!
The year of jubilee is come!
Reimbursement, ye ransomed sinners, home.

Ye slaves of sin and abyss,
your liberty receive,
and sheltered in Jesus dwell,
and blest in Jesus dynamic:
The year of jubilee is come!
The year of jubilee is break apart!
Return, ye ransomed sinners, domestic.

Ye who have sold for nought
your estate above
shall have it furtively unbought,
the gift of Jesus' attraction:

The gospel trumpet hear,
the news of exquisite grace;
and saved from Terra, appear
before your Savior's puss:
