Q: What are the pros and cons of both? All of the music for what I'm trying to do for "Horn in F", so how would I have to change it for a B flat marching horn?
A: Ok, well I would get a double horn. You can use a trigger to use the Bflat side, so you can learn the mellophone fingerings. And if you let go of the trigger, you can play with the F side. If I were you I would do mellophone, because the Bflat side sounds

When i type 'marching french horn fingering chart' in google it only takes me to mellophone fingering charts, even though they are different instruments and have different fingerings.
