A: I like playing on a 1 1/2 C. It gives me a really dark tone that I'm absolutely in love with. If you have a music store near you, you should bring your trumpet in there and see if they will let you try out mouthpieces. You'd be surprised, a lot of them

I've been playing trumpet for 6 years now. Lately, I've noticed I'm running out of breathe a lot quicker than before and my tone sounds horrible. I don't know why this has happened but I think it could be the mouthpiece. I'm currently using a 7c mouthpiece.
