Q: I'm usually a flat trumpet player. I play on a Bach 7C mouthpiece and I'm planning on switching mouthpieces. I don't think it's the mouthpiece that's messing up my tone, it's more of my air support which I am trying to work on. But I still want to plan

A: I like playing on a 1 1/2 C. It gives me a really dark tone that I'm absolutely in love with. If you have a music store near you, you should bring your trumpet in there and see if they will let you try out mouthpieces. You'd be surprised, a lot of them
