Can a digitech whammy pedal tune down a whole or half step?

Q: I understand most of the components of the Digitech Whammy pedal, Im just wondering if there is any way that when the pedal is pushed all the way down that it will sound the same as if I tuned my guitar to half or whole step down. I keep my guitar in

A: The "Drop Tune" setting can be set for 2 semi-tones down - so you can do down to D, but not Eb.

I have just purchased a digitech death metal pedal and I am ging to get another pedal. Should I buy the main squeeze or go for an entirely different effect? I play metal music by the way.


you should just buy an amp that has all the effects into one and buy a foot switch that can go with it
you can save money and space if you do this and its usually not expensive as buying all the pedals you need
