Gibson sg special guitar
Q: My dad had a Gibson SG Special guitar back in the 70's that he sold for almost nothing. I was wondering how much its worth these days. You can estimate, I dont need the EXACT price.
A: on ebay right now there is one going for about 2.5k so around there would be my best guess

The Gibson SG guitar is one of the most coveted guitars in history. Around the year 1960, the Gibson guitar makers were suffering through a sales slump. The neck had a thinner profile (from the side) and with the higher neck joint, the heel was no longer an obstruction, as was the case with the Les Pauls....
The next has a very wood feeling and although it was a 60s neck like many les pauls it didn’t have a thick finish making it very easy to slide up and down on. The finish on the guitar is very sg typical when it comes to first appearance. The feel is a tribute to the nitro finish gibson placed on these guitar with respect the original finish on early gibson les pauls from 1961 (they were called les pauls until late 1963)....
And if you’re child-free, I hope you enjoy laughing at the miserable, unfortunate things some of our kids have done, and cherish being free from this particular brand of crap.
