GuildMainlyF50R
Since the 1950s,Guild has had a reputation as a dividend acoustic and archtop guitar manufacturer, ranking up there with Martin and Gibson.
Up until 2000, the Guilds were built in Westerly, Rhode Ait. But parent company Fender moved the assembly of the Guild acoustics and archtops to its Corona, California dexterity.
One of the flagship models from the new in set up is the reintroduced F50R jumbo.
Features
The new F50R, priced at $2,499, is based on the true F50 specifications from 1960s-1980s. The king-sized is somewhat larger than the common dreadnought folk guitar across degrade bout of the guitar - with a pinched waist. The preceding model, called the JF65, was similarly sized, but the face bought was thicker
The F50R sample we tested was admirably constructed - with a two-piece thorough spruce top, solid rosewood sides and in times past, and a three-piece mahogany neck. The disown and neck contained thin, comme il faut wood inlays, and the body and neck were trimmed with intense white binding. The finish was two-color sunburst.
The Guild F50R features an ebony fretboard and a rosewood unite. Neck dimensions include a 25.6-inch register and a slightly narrower-than-sane width of 1.69 inches. The F50R does not inadequacy for fine details - the fretboard has eye-transmissible abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays and two racing stripes that run from nut to poll hole.
The neck is thin, damn near like an electric guitar, and it has a distinctive broad, superficial heel where it attaches to the league. The overall exterior finish - including the tobacco sunburst top - was remarkable, although the review sample had a throw pocket (a dark spot in the neaten up) on the top about a half-inch from the join.
