A: First off, there's a difference between solid-state and digital amps. "Solid state" means they use transistors, sure, but in general doesn't automatically mean they're digital... Digital amps use computer chips to process the sound, while "solid-state"
i have a ten watt amplifier for my guitar.
i was wondering if a 50 watt or larger amplifier has just bigger sound or many other functions as well. if it has many other functions then what are those?

100W @ 8 ohms divided by 2 speakers is equal to 50W to each speaker @ 8 ohms. They need to be equal to or greater than the power they are driven less, if you are safe. Just divide the total wattage of the amp by the number of speakers.

i think all i would need is a electric guitar itself, a tuner, amplifier, strap, picks, and thats pretty much it....
