Coated guitar strings
Q: I use coated electric guitar strings, have been for a few years. When I took my guitar in to get it worked on, the technician told me that i that coated strings were wearing out the frets and if I continued to use coated strings I would need a fret change
A: that's the silliest thing I've ever heard
the coating is softer than the string or the fret
