Q: My guitar strings are like seven years old. I have to change them. I checked online and they mostly only have strings for the Martin brand. but can you use those strings for any other acoustic guitar? and if i use them will my guitar sound better?
A: It depends on the type of guitar you have and what kind of sound you are looking for. It you want a lighter sound and easier on your fingers, try using electric guitar strings (5150) because they will simulate the feel of an electric guitar(more action)
I'm buying a Martin OM-1E in two weeks. What type of strings are good for this type of guitar? I've primarily played electric up until now, so I'm not familiar with acoustic guitar string types. I'm looking for a dynamic, responsive type of tone for finger
I feel the Martin strings i have are very hard to play guitar with. There just to hard to grip with and i they hurt my hands a lot... note im not very old im just a teenager that needs strings... I have a martin dx-1
I'm not selling them...i just heard they were semi-valuable. No mean comments!
