Q: I am looking in to buying a bass amplifier from Carvin. It seems that they have very inexpensive cabs and heads that are made in America, but how reputable is the company as a whole and will these amps hold out?
A: Carvin gear is rock solid. I've used their amps, and played some of their guitars and basses. The equipment is top notch, and a fantastic value. The drawback, of course, is that since they are mail-order, you won't get to fiddle around with their gear
I saw the Carvin V3 series amps and those are perfect for me. But i think there are more versatile amps then that.
Anyway, in this video I’m using a Carvin Bolt guitar with their stock pickups in it. Here’s my amp setup for this video… Pod XT Live, Mesa Boogie Simul 295 Stereo power amp, Marshall JMP1 preamp and Marshall 4×12 cab. I only use Guitar Rig 4 now which I much prefer. Not sure what my settings were for this video as I no longer use this rig. Have a great day.
The pro's will protect their amp heads in a road case like this because it will allow you to install and configure your amp and rack gear without having to disconnect everything each show. You can also take the foam out and line it with thinner foam for a larger amp, or add foam for a smaller amp. The inside of the lid is foamed as well to protect those knobs and keep those hook-up wires in the rear from flopping around. It is cut out for the handle and rubber feet to slide right in snug without tearing or pushing the foam.

I play acoustic guitar for my school's show choir/cover band thing and I play on a Carvin SX200 amp. But every time I turn the bass up just some to give it a little 'umph' the sound from the amp makes a huge 'roarrr' sound that's extremely loud and disturbing.
alright ive been playing guitar for a couple of years and i got a bass do i need a ne amp for it or can my carvin amp handle it
i didn't know if a bass needs a different amp
