Q: For a decent, handmade violin, how much can I expect to pay? And where are the best chances of me finding one to buy? Such as in the yellow pages, on websites, at my local music store etc..

A: I assume you mean a violin built by a trained luthier. Those would probably run $10,000 and up. You might be able to find an older second hand one (on the order of 100 years old would be a good range) that would be less expensive.
