Q: Need some ideas on homemade musical instruments for preschool children. My home daycare kids need a little music in their lives and we want to make our own instruments.Any ideas? Need details on what will be used to make them. Thank You so much in advance

i want to make a homemade instruments
The homemade instruments below fall into the category of idiophones and with a few recycled materials, children can make creative rhythm instruments to experiment with sounds and contribute to a classroom rhythm band. Most of the musical instruments found in a child's rhythm band closely resemble those that are believed to be the first ones developed and used by humans. The best part of these homemade instruments is that when playtime is over or the child tires of the project, most materials can go back into the recycle bin for a greener Earth....
Instead of wearing them on the wrist, the children can hold the bracelet in their hands and shake it. Also, try tapping the bracelet against the thighs to make a jingle-tap sound. The children can string the shells together in pairs like clam shells. Select shells that already have natural holes, or have an adult drill small holes in the top of each shell. Tie the ends of the lacing material in a knot....
Since I’m planning on using Masonite to hang rockwool in my basement for acoustic treatment (more on that in a future post), I’ll probably have some left over to play around with. It looks like he’s using a contact mic to record it, which seems to work quite well. I have it in my mind now to make a hubcap-based ron roco (an eight-string mandolin in four courses of two strings each)....
We will do a special presentation at church from the kids ministry. i wanted to show them how to make homemade instruments like: a Drum, the hand shakers, a tamborine, and maybe a flute or something you can blow with sound....creative people help!!!!
