Presonus Audiobox
Q: Hi all, I just purchased a recording interface so I can digitally record my guitar to my computer. I bought the Presonus Audiobox USB.
Anyway, it comes with Cubase LE (recording software by Steinberg) and I installed the Audiobox and
A: Go to the preferences or setting of Cubase, from there make sure you enable the audio driver for the Audiobox interface. The computer's sound card will not be responsible for your recording but the Audiobox will, so make sure you enable in the settings
I use a Presonus Audiobox USB to record guitar and bass onto studio 1 for mac. I have only one midi cable going from the out on the keyboard to the in on the Audiobox which is connected to my Macbook pro. Can anyone help me because i cant seem to get
The fact that the Audiobox is USB-powered is a huge selling point to me, because I don't really want to buy a firewire card and take a chance that it won't work (the stock card in my desktop is another one of those combo deals). I'm recording by myself and after reading Brandon's book and doing internet research, I think the Presonus Audiobox is probably the best for me. Have you experienced that issue when recording guitars on it. The reviews also said there was no line level input, I’m new to recording and I’m not sure what that is. As a beginner would not having a line level input even be an issue. Another thing worth mentioning : it comes with studio one artist, no need to buy a recording software, and the 1/4inch inputs are HiZ connectors for guitar/bass, and not line connectors. We can find a lot of reviews on the internet, but it’s rare to actually ear it and see it in action.
I liked the PreSonus Audiobox USB but after a little research I realized that people struggled to get it to work with Vista. I don't want to go through that. Did PreSonus resolve this issue? Are their any better suggestions?
