Ensoniq Synth
Q: I have an old Ensoniq ESQ1 Synthesizer and i would like to use it in Reason 4 and Audacity. Which is the easiest way to do this? Is there a cable i can get for the midi in or out slots that will connect my synthesizer via a usb?

A: Yes; MIDI to USB cables are readily available. I got one really cheap from Hong Kong on Ebay.

I've recently noticed in my synth travels and places like eBay an upswing in the interest of Ensoniq instruments. In these videos a ESQ-1 owner Jexus generously takes the time to go through most of the presets with a little jamming on the side as well as some video doctoring to give the "old" look. Yesterday a TS10 sold for over $1,000 with not even a power cord with it. The average for that model in the last 5 years was around $650-700 depending on shape and I suppose luck of the bid might bring lower....
