Hi, I'm REALLY interested in getting a talk box, and I'm looking at the Rocktron Manchee 2 talk box. I have a Yamaha MO-8 keyboard, so my question is, are these 2 compatible with each other? If so, how do I hook the talk box up to it? Thanks

Both the Banchee and Banchee 2 talkboxes work with any low level signal - guitar, keyboard, or even another vocal.

The talkbox runs between your keyboard and amp. It's fairly simple to hook up. Check the instructions when you get i

You might notice it’s been less than a week synth my last “This Week In Synths” post. Note the synth in last week’s image was the Yamaha CS20M. Not only is this synth mega mega rare but it has a historic valve as well. This synth would have been on many world tours with klaus. The synth does power up with lights flashing and blinking. If this synth could talk it would have many stories to tell.

What keyboard/synth would you recommend to upgrade from Yamaha SY-22, preferable weighted keys?

TG 33 Yamaha Vector Synth

My husband is a musician (by hobby) and owns a SY-22. I want to get him a new keyboard for Christmas but I don't have any clue what to buy. I know Yamaha is good but which model would you recommend and why? Where is the best place to buy in LA?

A good choice will be the Yamaha MM6. Is rather cheap ($600) and comes with its own sequencer, so he can program and make their own songs. It's far superior to the sy-22 and your husband will be surprised and pleased, sure.

Does anyone have a Yamaha MM8 synth?

I'm interested in how it compares with the Yamaha MM6. Do you like it? Is it worth considering getting one? Is there anything that you especially like or dislike about it? Is there another full size keyboard you could recommend me to look at?

I don't have any personal experience, but I did find a review of the product comparing it to the MM6. here's the link:http://www.gadgetoid.com/2008/03/12/yama ha-mm8-music-synthesizer/

Here's another, possibly better review:http://www.andysmusiconline.com/products
